Everyone is eager to gain more
information about the upcoming cloud enabled enterprise collaboration platform.
It is due to be released in the month of September 2015. This next version ofSharePoint will also be displayed at the Ignite conference being organized
from 4th to 8th May this year in Chicago.

Version of SharePoint
The new version of SharePoint
referred to as SharePoint Server 2016 actually draws from SharePoint
Online and has been developed with Microsoft SaaS (Software as a
Service) at its core.
SharePoint 2016 gives your
enterprise access to productive and robust On-premises functionalities while
also enabling Office 365 experiences and capabilities to all the on-premise
customers.
Office 365 capabilities comprise of
Delve for enterprise search, sharing of content in a secure environment, social
experience by Yammer, which integrates with multiple platforms such as DynamicsCRM etc.
New Features in SP16
you can look forward to ---

Delve: It is a dashboard like interface
which uses artificial intelligence (with Office Graph) for displaying important
information for you and those in your network. Delve can index e-mails,
contacts, social networks and meetings and portray such information as cards.
2. Video Portal:
You will be able to discover, upload and store videos --- all in a secure
environment.
3. Mobile: You can now
count on superior rendering on PDAs including Android devices and iOS.
SharePoint will come with more mobile features, a responsive interface, UI
designed for a touch interface and above all scaled down page views.
4. Yammer: Yammer
comes with new capabilities for enhanced conversation and productivity.
5. Inline Social:
Users can have conversations right inside their documents.
6. Insights: Insights allows you to search the
web while inside the document.
SharePoint Server 2016
complements and supports the hybrid cloud implementations which are
mobile-friendly, can be managed easily due to simple IT requirements, deliver
data and apps to customers across diverse devices and yes, build a platform
comprising of datacenters and cloud. Look out for midyear roll out of SP16!
